Does a front clip actually stop pulling?
It changes the geometry. On a collar or a back-clip harness, your dog leans into the pull and you hold on. With the leash clipped at the chest, every surge turns them sideways toward you, so leaning forward stops working. Most dogs figure that out within a few walks. It is not magic and it is not training on its own, but it makes every walk in between manageable.
Is it safe for the neck?
That is the point. Nothing on the Frontline sits across the throat. The pressure lands on the padded chest plate and the girth strap, not the windpipe.
Which size do I order?
Measure the chest at its widest point, just behind the front legs. That number picks the size, not weight. S 33 to 66 cm, M 38 to 68 cm, L 43 to 80 cm, XL 53 to 90 cm. Between sizes, go up. The full guide is on the sizing page.
Will it fit a small dog?
Over 15 lb, yes. Under that, honestly no. The smallest size still will not sit right and a badly fitted harness is worse than none.
Can my dog slip out of it?
Not when it is fitted. Four adjustment points and a girth strap behind the front legs hold it in place. If your dog is a known escape artist, tighten the girth strap first and use the two-finger check on every strap.
Does it work with my current leash?
Yes. Both rings are standard metal D-rings. Any clip leash you already own works.
What is the handle for?
Road crossings, passing another dog, getting into the car. Grab the padded handle on the back and you have your dog right beside you without hauling on the leash.
Can I wash it?
Machine wash cold in a mesh bag, hang to dry. No bleach, no softener, no tumble dryer.
