Fitting and Care

Putting it on

Unclip the two side buckles and loosen every strap a few centimetres before the first fitting. Slip the neck opening over your dog's head so the padded chest plate sits on the breastbone, then bring the girth strap under the belly and clip both buckles. It takes ten seconds once you have done it twice.

Adjusting it

Tighten the girth strap first, then the neck, then the two chest straps. You should be able to slide two fingers flat under every strap. Too loose and the harness rotates when your dog pulls; too tight and it rubs behind the front legs. Check the fit again after the first week, because new straps settle.

Front clip or back clip

Clip the leash to the front ring on the chest for any walk where your dog pulls. When they surge, the leash turns them back toward you instead of letting them lean in. Use the back ring for relaxed walks, running, or once the pulling has settled. The padded top handle is for road crossings and passing dogs: grab it, hold, carry on.

Washing

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle in a mesh bag, or hand wash in the sink. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, which dull the reflective panels. Hang to dry away from direct heat. Never tumble dry; it warps the buckles.

Before every walk

Give each buckle a tug and glance at the stitching around the two metal rings. Any fraying at the rings, stop using it and email us. Straps loosen a little over time, so re-check the two-finger rule every few weeks.
